Great video on Linux, thank you for sharing. My takeaway was the point that Linux was freedom of use software and that Linux always keeps everything up to date. I also liked the point that he has some 15 year old machines that are operating on Linux. I actually forgot about GIMP, good mention for open software free graphics program. The comparison of Libre Office to Microsoft was a good reminder that we have choices out there beyond Apple and Microsoft.

Easy to run from an external USB too, just needs the BIOS adjusted to boot to USB, if none plugged in then it'll boot the normal internal Hard Drive.
The old computers always booted to a floppy drive or CD/DVD if media inserted, otherwise it would boot the hard drive, now for some reason it boots to hard drive first making it slightly more awkward to boot to USB.

Thanks for your tips. I'm glad to hear it's a simpler connection through a USB, though I'd still be challenged on the changes in BIOS.
