A list of Tech Movies

I realized with our latest discussion on AI and Syfy movies that I might have missed more really great movies.  Here's a list I found of some tech-syfy movies to watch.  I've seen some of them and apparently more to catch up on.

I remember Lawn Mower Man but I had forgotten that it had a tech side to it.  I only saw that movie once, kind of all I needed to see there.

Snowden was really good to see how he operated and what he uncovered.

We liked Mr. Robot and somehow real life must have gotten in the way of finishing the series.

    Transcendence was different.

I never thought of Live Free and Die Hard was "tech" but I guess that will work since it involves a hacker.  Always liked the Die Hard movies.

    Wierd Science is a classic.

You've Got Mail.....more of a love story, but alright, the email thing is going.

    War Games....classic!

Disclosure, I don't think we've ever missed any of Michael Douglas movies.

    Matrix -cult classic.

This is a nice list to go through, compiled by IMDB, if you feel like a weekend of tech-syfy.🤓

I've seen most of those.  Lawnmower Man is actually a personal favorite.  I've seen it dozens of times.  There is also a Director's Cut, with like 20+ mins of extra stuff that really adds to the plot and character development.  But, it had awful editing. Recently, on Amazon, I found a new "cleaned up" version.  I've watched it numerous times. 😎

Transcendence was awesome! Not sure if it would ever be possible, but a great story and a fun movie.  I'm really into tech!

    War Games.  Oh, yes.  😀

I own the "Ultimate Matrix Trilogy" on blu-ray.  We haven't seen the 4th one.  But the original set is my favorite trilogy of all time. 😊

I should revisit Lawnmower Man...lol...maybe I wasn't in the right state of mind when I watched it years ago like I am now. 😀  Thanks for the tips to look for better versions.  I remember the garbage disposal scene the most. 😜

We haven't seen the fourth Matrix yet either.

We love tech too, especially when it's realistic and the writers really do their research on factual outcomes of the scenarios written into the script.  My husband took apart the Lineman movie the other night, but overall it wasn't a harsh criticism, just some details.

I'm adding a link here to your movie list, @Drake, which is great.  Thank you for directing me to your page.  Members, if you go to this main link here (below), you will fine movies organized in genre categories.
