I was recently reading an article that coders who have dominated the development field for many, many years are struggling to find work now as most companies are hiring people that are experienced in AI.
Major companies, like Microsoft are now funneling resources into AI.
I also just read that Meta purchased more land to invest 600 billion in AI infrastructure and jobs. Meta wants to build machines that out-think humans.
So, what happens to the coders, software engineers and the years they built their craft? The frustrating part of life is you have to out predict the future to be prepared for it. Now these software engineers and developers will likely have to adapt and acquire more skills to compete. The scary part is it seems that Silicon Valley billionaires want to build AI to such an extent that it replaces humans. Sigh, a huge conundrum.
