When I was in fifth grade, I participated in the Science Fair. I made a harp out of wood (my dad cut out my design) and then I used rubber bands that I tuned to ratio's. The purpose was to demonstrate the Pythagorean theorem. I think there is a great deal of inspiration that comes with great music, but also mathematics. It takes years of learning the technical aspects of any craft and I include music as a technical craft, as well.
