There is now just one year left for Windows 10 support, after October 2025 there will be no further normal support for Windows 10.  If your computer doesn't meet Microsoft's specifications for upgrade what do you do?

You have a number of options as outlined in this video.

Good video and well presented.  I'll need to make sure that my mom's computers are upgraded or she's going to need a new one?  I have no idea how old her desktop PC is, but her Laptop is pretty old.  I had to work on it today and it crawled on everything I needed it to do. The restart was hung up for 15 minutes, omg!

A Linux Desktop would breath new life into it.  You are quite tech savvy so try burning an image to a USB memory stick.  I'll check but in the Linux forum section pretty sure I mentioned how to do it.

https://etcher.balena.io/ is a well respected cross platform image writer so that should do it easy.

Ahhh, thank you!  Interesting option.  So Etcher/Balena allows me to create a flash drive/external drive OS environment?

    • Create USB installation media from bootable ISOs
    • Install almost any OS to almost any flash drive
    • Offer an easy way for your users to flash your OS using our ‘Flash with Etcher’ feature

Yes, balena etcher is used by the guy who presented the video on Windows 10 options.

The only slight problem is for non techy people to alter the boot order which needs an alteration to the BIOS.

Well, that's were my tech savvy ends, lol.  My dd literally freaks out if I go into the bios in my Alienware. 😁

All you have to look for is 'Boot Order'.  In the old days the order was floppy, CDRom then Hard Drive.  If any missing it jumps to next option.

Now they seem to have the Hard Drive as main boot item and windows insists on a setting known as 'Safe Boot', that needs to be turned off as Safe Boot insists on Booting Windows.  Both easy settings to alter.
