Elvis was pretty amazing, once in a lifetime performer. Our family has enjoyed his movies too. I recently had a friend that took a trip to see Graceland this summer. She said it was a really great experience.
Not somewhere I'd dream of going to but maybe if I lived close by.
Oh, understood, me too....if I could go on a vacation, it would be somewhere else. There are tourist places in my own state I've yet to see, but then Texas, is pretty big.
It's odd really, when one has places of interest close by often they are not visited as they can be put off till next week/month/year and end up not going.
I have lived in London all my life and had NOT visited the Tower of London until 2013 (in my 60s) and then only because my place of work was entertaining guests from Northern Ireland and we arranged a visit for them. I was the designated driver so ended up my first visit.
That makes sense, why we put off visiting places of interests near us...we do always think, one day I'll get there, but somehow, we are too busy to make that trek. I've only been to the Fort Worth Museum twice and the only reasons I got there, was once when I was a child and my mom wanted to see the Tutankhamen exhibit or a China exhibit, can't recall and a friend I worked with as an adult wanted to see an exhibit of some sort, gosh, can't remember that either, except that I went there, lol.
I'm glad you made it to the Tower of London.
